June 22, 2023 - My first time with this wine. Wow, is this good. A full bodied Assyrtiko with a bit of an oak signature but packed full of crushed rock minerality, lanolin, white nectarine, and citrus. There’s a citrus blossom note on the nose that I dig. Bursting with fresh acidity and lemon it was most pleasurable at room temp. Old Vine sur lee Assyrtiko? Hell yeah.

July 6, 2022 - Young and in a way closed and lacked a lot vs the (and unfairly so to be jusdged in a way) 2018 Argyros Assyrtiko Cuvée Monsignori ( Papies 93) . Still lovely to see the evolution of the Nyxteri since the daughters have taken over the production and is now more consistent, less fatty and waxy and more of an Assyrtiko plus .Very pretty expression and a solid 91 for now but will lots of room to grow into something much higher in score and specialness.

May 29, 2022 - Very modern in style for Hatzidakis and Nykteri in general. You get the oak in the nose but in a very “stylish” and refined I would dare to say way; the fruit is also less ripe that the past. Solid and enjoyable nonetheless. Youthfull and with 5+ years ahead 91-93
