Community Tasting Notes 2

  • rcha001 Likes this wine: 90 points

August 13, 2023 - Appearance: core is deep garnet, almost semi opaque. Fast legs and med bodied
Nose: give it some decanting time and this wine will reward you. Opens with floral notes and red fruits - strawberries, red cherries. There's def some "barnyard" smell, reminds me of Burgundy reds. Aromas get stronger the longer you leave it in open air
Palate: wow, flavours are quite intense with strawberries, raspberries, some cranberries which gives it slight tart characteristic. Subtle forest floor balances the fruits and def some herbally savoury notes in the mix. Tannins are ultra fine and finish is long and persistent. This is very elegant wine. I love it.

January 26, 2022 - Deep colour and has aromas of plum, red berries and bush spices.
The palate is complex and dense with bitter orange, acacia and white pepper. It is textured, chewy and plump
Vines are about 24 years old
