  October 20, 2009 - Lots of dark fruit, smoke, a little barnyard funk. Great wine, but it called for something grilled or game.

  April 2, 2009 - A different California Meritage: big, but not sweet, rather very dry. Initially it was very tight with higher acidity and a bitter finish. After aeration, it lost some of the acidity and finished with notes of cola. The nose smells like dust, oak, port and raisins. There's not much on the palate, but the dryness leaves your mouth watering... Will go very well with oily dishes, like the green garlic & onion pizza we had.

  May 14, 2008 - gorgeous high toned red fruit, sweetest raspberry, the fruit is so pure! On the palate Hints of meat and blueberry, charred elements, chocolate and a melange of fruits focused w. long length. A "real" fruit bomb, not sensing any manipulation here. 93
