February 17, 2023 - It is rich and ripe with exotic yellow fruit, peach, seashells, and citrus. It surprises me how the ripeness has overtaken the acidity given Chablis can age forever. Based on this particular sample given the colour looks appropriate to its age, it is at peak. An underwhelming Raveneau.

After some rubbery reduction, a developed Chardonnay nose of wet wool, Époisses and preserved lemons. Better on palate with some fruit to match the racy acidity. The fruit quite faded. However, little or no Chablis typicity. For me this bottle is a pass.
