  March 13, 2024 - JG’s mainly Barolo 2018s (Terra Rossa, London N1): Pale lemon in colour with nice moose. Citrus notes on the nose and quite sweet on the palate, a bit too much sherbet for my taste despite the low dosage. Still fun open and inviting.

  August 16, 2023 - Italian evening at Nick's (Chez Nick): Very pale yellow verging on clear with exteremely fine bubbles. A kind of peach melba nose, very smooth, refreshing and easy to drink. Fine mousse, none of the biscuity-ness or yeast of champagne, more like a spritzy still wine. Pleasant, a crowd pleaser.

  August 16, 2023 - Ferragosto feast! (Chez Nick): Without wanting to sound patronising, this was surprisingly good, if arguably a little too easy to drink. Excellent marriage of creme pat aromas and flavours with piquant acidity, and a nicely rounded mouthfeel. Super start.

  August 16, 2023 - Nick’s Festa di Ferragosto; 8/16/2023-8/17/2023: 60% Chardonnay 40% Pinot Noir
  Lovely peachy nose with green apple and some saline freshness.
  On the palate this has a nice balance of freshness and a ripe fruit profile. A good quaffer

  August 16, 2023 - Niccolo's Ferragosto Feast (Chez Nick): Blossom, white peach, clean and crystalline. Developed with air, revealing a sneaky richness and more exotic fruit and floral notes. I found it slightly low in energy on the palate, a little flat for my taste.
  
  Traditional method, blend of PN and Chardonnay.
