September 12, 2020 - A pretty nice nose of darks fruits, figs, coffee ground and wood was disturbed by some barnyard and hints of nail polish. Better palate, but the long and drying finish got be thinking that perhaps time had taken the better of this wine. Maybe a weaker bottle. 89-90p

April 30, 2016 - Lots of sediments in bottle. Pnp it is really fresh with lovely fruity notes of dark cherries, raspberries, plum and some spices at the back. After 2h decant wine has softened, gaining depth and complexity with a small rack of spices demanding more attention and also graphite, tobacco, figs, chocolate and vanilla in the mix. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, long finish. Seems to be in a very good spot now but think it will hold up for quite some years still. Really enjoyed this - both on its own but also as a great companion to our steak of deer.
