April 1, 2023 - Masterclass with Melanie Tarlant, vertical tasting of all currently released La Vigne d’Antan vintages. Wine #5/5. Made from ungrafted Chardonnay vines, planted in 1962. Disgorged in March 2023. First release of d’Antan was made from a blend of vintages with 80% of 1999 and 20% of 1998. Complex and multilayered aroma of mushrooms, earth, dry apples, smoke, flint, honey, peach, ripe pears. Livelier than 2000 with high acidity and spicy fine mousse, nutty, earthy and chalky flavours, delicate yeastiness.
