October 9, 2021 - Stood up for several hours and then decanted and enjoyed over a few more. Medium dark garnet. Dark spice, leather, tar, black licorice, plum. Very lovely palate. Lightly floral, tad bit of sweetness, cherry, good dark fruit expression. Chalky texture. Enjoyable.

December 30, 2013 - rubin garnet, it seems much younger than its age. Tannins are still strong and acidity typical of a younger vintage. At the nose intense moka, roasted cofffe, at the palate liquorice, dark chocolate, earth and forest with a sapid taste. The overall sensation is that this barolo needs cellaring for at least another couple of years to smooth its character and fully express its balance. Long lenght

December 5, 2011 - Garnet. Nose reminds of tobacco, rose, pepper, dark plums, earth, fur, leather, meat. Mouth is austere yet intriguing, with a long, tannic, youthful finish.
