Community Tasting Notes 1

  • Sourdough Does not like this wine: 60 points

January 12, 2023 - Won this"gem" and it immediately went in the cooking wine queue. It will work okay in small volumes for cooking but... The aroma is similar to lemon juice thinned to a pH of 3.5. And that is pretty much what it tastes like. Alcohol gives it some body. Nothing about this wine suggests to me that grapes were involved. I have made pseudo wine by thinning lemon juice to pH 3.5, using that to thin vodka to 12.5% ABV, and adding sugar to 1% residual sugar - and that concoction is IMO superior to this bottle.
