March 25, 2023 - Mature and nice, def not over the hill. Forest floor and bush, fine tannins and decent length. Fruit still there. Can last at least a few more years. A bit "tart", not a page turner, but def good.

January 9, 2021 - Darkly colored with orange rim, some sediments.
Nose excellent of dark boisenberry, sur bois, earthy flavors, leather spices.
Taste mostly dark fruited and medium weight - less than expected based on nose. Oranges on top of nose elements and smooth, short-medium finish.

A bit dryness, resolved oak and tanin, so must be at peak now. More 2005 characteristics than Chambolle.

August 28, 2018 - This was a beautiful acquaintance at the peak of its drinking window. A great village wine from a great year. This is what a well aged Chambolle should taste like. If you have it in your cellar drink it and enjoy.

November 11, 2016 - A great pairing with roasted chicken dinner. Some cherry and orange peel along with an earthy note to calm things down.

(Bouchard Père et Fils Chambolle-Musigny) A négoce wine. Medium-plus cherry-red colour. The nose has decent width but better depth, but note that it has an appreciable oak base. In the mouth the concentration is quite good and there is plenty of tannin though it seems more wood than grape-driven. The length is good, but despite it being a decent enough and very drinkable effort, indeed a wine you may be happy to have in your cellar in 10 years time, I see this as well behind the better village cuvées from the 2005 vintage.
