August 18, 2023 - Unique blend. The Syrah plays a bigger role than its composition suggests. Nice strawberry and red raspberry in the background, blue fruit up front with a little white pepper on the finish. Hint of red licorice too.

Here the fruit is darker red and complicated by pepper and anise. I much preferred this wine for its much greater complexity and interest. Very good.

April 23, 2022 - Blueberry (particularly in aromas), cracked pepper. Light bodied, fine grained tannins match moderate acidity. Coffee and red cherry finish. Nicely balanced.

April 16, 2022 - PHMG WAG Paso Robles (Paso Lyon): Young but not boisterous, this is a deep dark wine with a really good balance of fruit and savory notes. Outstanding wine with fair QPR. 2023-2019.
