April 24, 2015 - Drank this alongside the '02 vintage. Both wines were great with clear vintage differences. We enjoyed the '01 with food (steaks) better than the '02 due to its more earthy components and dusty light tannic finish. Had nice brambly fruit, pencil lead and cedar flavors.
