May 2, 2023 - Medium lemon colored with medium to high viscosity even though it only sports a 13% ABV. The nose has intense aromas of Meyer lemon peel, papaya, white flower, grapefruit, orange pith, mineral notes and petrichor. The palate is dry with high acidity and some upfront bitterness. The acidity is piercing with a refreshing quality that leads into the citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Florals are abundant with white flowers and geranium alongside orange blossom. The body is medium (-) and leads to a long finish that is citrus focused with a hint of phenolic bitterness. This is my first foray into the Kerner varietal, I like it. This bottle runs $30 and gets 92 points from me. I am going to pair it with Jamaican Curry Goat- I believe the acidity will balance the spicy dish nicely. 5 stars, drink till 2025.

December 1, 2022 - Couldn't get a handle on this
Previous Kerner experience limited to a few excellent Abbazia Novacella vintages that reminded me of less overbearing Viognier
The date and broad, open, sweet Riesling texture told me it was mature (enough), but there was a corruscating leesy, nettlesome, flavor that made this even more the IPA of wines than my first taste of Torrontés, and that never evolved into anything as approachable as orange peel, pineapple, or flowers over the 4 or 5 days devoted to it
In the unlikelihood I get more, I'd try to age it 6 or 7 years because why the hell not -

May 25, 2022 - Very nice example of Kerner, having the fruit and texture of a dry Riesling, and the sharp acidity and minerals of northern Italian whites. Well reviewed by others. Very good with an asparagus and smoked salmon salad. I will look for more.

April 19, 2022 - Short note - at first very green, gooseberry, nettle, lime, 30min in decanter it opens up. White pepper, apples, rubber, butterflower, flint/smoke, high acidity, structured, long finish with a slight bitterness, quite mineralic, very complex, solid concentration and high dry-extract, Outstanding QPR and wine 92-93

October 18, 2021 - Nice, refreshing, new stuff. Very round and smooth in the mouth, with dry (but not too dry) good mineralogic finish. Will be interesting where this is leading to in the future ...
