  August 13, 2014 - It was ok last night - fruit muted but still a bit of structure. Tonight - it was absolute crap. Too bad - I waited too long. Rating is for last night only.

  April 17, 2011 - nice zin, more traditional- easy drinking- not too dark like most of todays Zins- nose a bit of perfume with some blackberry - carried through with some blackberry/cherry combo and a touch of cigar ash-touch of earthiness gave this a bit of an old world feel

  January 5, 2011 - Versatile and food-friendly, this is an unusual effort that brings brambles, blackberry and oak to the forefront of both aroma and palate....fruit is significant, but not overwhelming or jammy. Certainly will not please those who expect blackberry jam in a bottle, but will offer others a very satisfying bottle, more like a high-quallity Primativo.

  November 12, 2010 - Rather light ruby color. Dill pickles and berries on the nose. balanced but a tad bland on taste. Could be too old? Perhaps bad bottle or heat damage but I think this is just too old for Zin...

  July 13, 2009 - Drinking wonderfully now, all integrated into a wine of complexity and balance. Black and red fruit on a palate surrounded by a touch of cream, supported by round tannins and a pleasant long finish. Last of the 05, wish we had more.
