September 13, 2023 - Austrian Estate Visits; 9/13/2023-9/15/2023 (In and around the Wachau valley): 50/50 Riesling and Grüner Veltliner with 230 grams of sugar. Golden color. Botrytis and caramel. Quite sweet and rich but not unctuous because of its lively acidity. Fig, sultana, and spice. It stays with you long after it is swallowed and should last for decades.

September 3, 2021 - Somewhat heady nose of sweet apricot, honey, caramel, and citrus. Good acidity and very sweet on the palate, but not quite cloying. Flavors of sweet apricot, candied orange, and sugar plum emerge. Long finish. I’d put these away for quite some time…
