  May 21, 2008 - Nose of brown sugar and maple syrup. Aromas of honey, syrup on the palate with vanilla and almonds in the finish. Probably a lovely wine to have with crème brulée, and finish the next morning with a pancakes brunch.

  March 1, 2008 - Had a glass of this (slightly chilled) with dessert the other night and decided to take a bottle home. The nose is redolent of rum-soaked cake with raisins; these notes also showed up on the palate, along with maple syrup and stone fruit. The glass sniffing at the end was almost the best part - holding the bowl in both hands to warm it up and evaporate off the last of the alcohol, then enjoying the caramel/dried apricot/raisin aromas that were left.

  November 8, 2007 - The alcohol (heat) of this vin doux naturel is starting to annoy me a little. The first sip is heavenly, but then it seems like the alcohol shows up to crash the party. Still tasty, maybe I should just decant the whole thing.
