May 31, 2023 - PnP. Oaky nose with some white flower - fading after 20 min. The palate is simple, sweet like sugarcane. Short to medium finishing. Best in first 15 minutes, and becomes very sweet.

February 19, 2023 - I don’t know what to make of this except to say that it was the least likely Sancerre experience I can imagine: almost Gewurz-like with pineapple, honey and spice on the palate. If you told me blind it was Sauv Blanc I simply would not believe you. Went better with lemon cookies (!!!!) than our sole meunière. Too much respect for the Cotat name to say I understand this - all I can say it is not obviously flawed. Saved some for tomorrow - frankly I have no idea what to expect.
Score: wtf. 91 just because it is clearly expertly made, but a complete surprise, and I don’t want to imply that it is bad or defective because it is not.
    Relative to expectations : wtff

January 2, 2023 - Developed deep straw to golden color.
The nose is eccentric, not varietal and has a strong house style. Oxidative and funky slow ferment. Toffee apple, musk lolly and maybe musquee clone. Very sweet profile.
Sweet entry. Broad. Full flavored and phenolic. Very rich candy profile. Some residual sugar.
Powerful wine. Not a representation of the varietal or region.

February 7, 2022 - Beautiful sancerre. Wow. Nose of kiwi and marmalade. Palate starts with sweet saltiness followed by orange peel dancing on a layer of sublime butter.
