January 19, 2019 - Mid-garnet, amber edges; earthy, ripe grape, cigar box nose; mid-big body; good fruit; long ripe grape finish; a little tight still; needs time.

December 25, 2017 - Wine keeps evolving. Mid-garnet, brick edges; complex Napa Cabernet nose; mint, cassis, berries; balanced; good fruit and flavor; long Cabernet finish. w/beef wellington (17-17.5)

March 20, 2015 - At home with Valerie. Consistent with prior notes, slightly less open than last bottle.

"Dark maroon/red color. Classic big CA Cab nose: dark fruits, caramel, mint. Tannins balanced. Huge palate, a bit hot, showing mostly on mid palate. dark/black fruits, blackberry pie, backing spices, liqueur like texture"

Might be good to let this rest another few years to see how it evolves. Starting to settle down, more secondary characteristics, less heat

December 14, 2013 - At home with a chicken cacciatore stew w/hot Italian sausage. Better to pair with beef, but this worked fine with the spice. Its been a few years since I have had a bottle of this, I remember really liking it but with no notes. Decanted 1 hour while we drank and Italian white - would benefit from a longer decant.

Dark maroon/red color. Classic big CA Cab nose: dark fruits, caramel, mint. Tannins balanced. Huge palate, a bit hot, showing mostly on mid palate. dark/black fruits, blackberry pie, backing spices, liqueur like texture. Full body and long finish - 45 seconds.

Will let last bottle rest - excellent now, has a long trajectory. This is really nice wine, you have to like the big CA style, not a well known wine bit would hang with the big boys in any blind tasting.
