August 2, 2021 - As Italy's first distillery - established in 1779 - B. Nardini continues to produce my favourite Grappas - which sadly seem impossible to find in BC. (When the border finally re-opens, hopefully I’ll be able to make a trip to Esquin Wine Merchants in Seattle to stock up again).
Although, I prefer the pure colourless Grappa Bianca, this amber Riserva is fragrant and delicate with complex nuances and colour added during its three years in Slavonian oak casks. The result is a smooth yet intense elegant after-dinner spirit to conclude an evening of eating delicious Italian dishes and drinking Super Tuscan wines. Drink neat at room temperature.
