November 26, 2023 - Nose: Slate and cool dark blackberry, sweet strawberry taffy. Palate: Prickly ripe blackberry, barely ripe black plum flesh, leather and dark cocoa on the finish; lightly grainy tannins that are never overpowering but certainly present. Held up very well over three days of tasting, and while the plum becomes more forward and oxidizes a bit; it comes with the emergence of mulling spices like cinnamon bark and cardamom.
