April 10, 2024 - Nice chard. Not heavy, pear and green apple and pineapple flavors. Was expecting higher acidity but still the wine is in my wheel house.

March 1, 2024 - Consistent with the one of two months ago, fantastic. VG on PnP and it's everything I want from domestic chard at this price. Drink or hold. highly recommended

January 10, 2024 - PnP, quite enjoyable. Talbot's note is similar to my own experience: color, aromas, taste, etc. This is in a nice place now, with plenty of freshness, and is likely to hold at this level for several more years. I served this to a more casual wine dinner crowd, and they loved it with and without the lobster tails. Solid effort, and happy to have tried it. 12,8% abv. highly recommended

March 19, 2022 - We drank two chardonnays side by side -- Enfield Brosseau Chardonnay 2019 and de Montille Clos du Chateau Bourgogne 2017. The first thing to say is that they are both excellent wines -- both under $40, both great value for the price. Second, they are quite similar -- the de Montille might easily be mistaken for a California wine. Third, they are both unmistakably Chardonnay wines, though there is no butter and no sweetness.
The French wine is a much lighter color, almost green where the Enfield is golden. The Enfield has muted aromas of sage and pineapple, and then a rounded pear flavor, with moderate acidity -- less than other Enfield chardonnays -- and a full texture. The de Montille has a more acidic structure and then tropical fruit flavors, with an undercurrent of salinity. Both are fully drinkable now, and both will last.3 people found this helpful Comment
