  February 1, 2023 - Very young now, somewhat quite harsh and astringent. Accented by spicy notes from the Vespolina. There is a good amount of material here, and it may smooth out with some time, but right now it feels a bit hard and simple. I actually don't mind a rustic wine like this, and it can suit simple foods well, but it feels a bit overpriced for what it is. The Gattinara from this producer is much better, but then that is to be expected. I've two more bottles, which I'll lay down for a few years. While my note may seem critical now, I also wouldn't be at all surprised to see this round into some good form with time. As I said before, there is sufficient material, and a good acid spine.

  September 28, 2022 - Such a well balanced and classy wine. It’s all there wrapped up in an authentic package. Even better on day 2. 70% Nebbiolo. Buy again.

  February 23, 2022 - This is from the Eataly wine club. I have had difficulty warming up to Nebbiolo but I like this one -- the light body typical of Nebbiolo, vibrant color, some tartness when first opened, but the second day the acidity had mellowed into brightness, a refreshing taste of raspberry/cherry. i will buy again.
