October 15, 2023 - Outstanding WA Syrah. Great balance, mouthfeel and just enough funk to mark it as being ‘of the type’ of a Rocks Syrah. Great QPR.

May 19, 2023 - Big and aromatic nose of earth, dark fruit and tobacco. Light to mid mouth feel with short to medium finish. On the palette mostly dark fruit, earth and cedar, herbaceous, olive amd plum and tilting toward savory side.

January 23, 2023 - Dark rich blueberry with pepper and funk

January 9, 2023 - 2 hour decant. Definitely less Rocks Funk than previous vintages, which I rather liked since I've gone fairly heavy on Rocks Syrah. More elegant in the mouth, with a silky mouthfeel to the black fruit, a nice sizzle of acidity, light tannic structure. Secondary flavors of tobacco and tar. This is a very nice wine that I feel will evolve nicely over the next 10-15 years. Drink now - 2034.

July 16, 2022 - Walla Walla Syrah Festival Grand Tasting (Valdemar Cellars Walla Walla): Mild funk, gravel, blueberries, cherry, coffee beans and floral notes. Little softer than the Northern Blend on this night.
