  September 13, 2023 - 😞😞😞......my final bottle from our last trip to Santorini. This was a wine they admittedly made in a 'California Style'. The fruit hung longer, more aging in tank and bottle before release. It was an 'experiment' for them. The white vines are more than 120 years old. And it was beautiful. We brought as much back as our luggage would hold.
  
  Notes pretty much as before. Citrus, oak, cream, white/yellow flowers, just a tad oily. This is NOT a white Burgundy. It could very easily be mistaken for a Cali chard, even though it's not chard. The acidity is beautiful and elongates the ending so nicely. Yet the lees effect may be just a tad out of balance, still, which keeps it from trending higher on score. I think I paid $52/bottle. Very nice and a tad different but hard to envision paying more for it, if you can find them.

  May 7, 2023 - I really liked my last bottle of this special one time wine they made back in Santorini. Had it about 18 months ago and it was beautiful. This bottle is either off a tad or it's started its downside. Not as rich and creamy from the pnp. Doesn't remind one of Cali Chard as it did back then. It's good at 91-92 with citrus on the fruit, a touch of oak left but it's much lighter weight in the mouth and the finish is shorter. I have one bottle left and if you do, I'd suggest drinking them soon.

  November 17, 2022 - I’ve tasted many many assyrtikos, but I don’t think I have ever tasted one better than the 2018 Enalia from Gavalas. Sadly, Gavalas produced a mere 1300 bottles of this wine. This bottle was lucky number 13.
