April 9, 2022 - IWS Calabria and Puglia (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Ripe black fruits, berries, slight alcohol warmth lends a peppery prickle, plenty of new oak (vanilla) and there is a savoury, herby underpin. Juicy, medium plus intensity acidity, oak sweetness and spice, alcohol lends further pepperiness, the tannins shred the palate - super tight, chewy, chalky...Woof.

November 19, 2021 - Coravin fun - Italian investigations (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Savoury, brambly fruit, blackberry, a little sweet spice and a touch of resin. With time it shows a little leather and earthy. Juicy, savoury and fruity; Autumn berries, tannins are drying and quite leather, earthy, there is liquorice here as well as a touch of salinity. Needs meat to shine but yum.
