March 25, 2024 - Opened by Mark. The best of the 3 2018 Chianti wines we tried. Silky texture with creamy red fruit. Notes of berries, licorice and wet earth. Solid tannins. 91 points.

March 14, 2024 - Decanted for two hours prior to tasting.
Medium dark ruby color; red fruit nose. Deep and smoothly integrated plum notes on the fore palate, and moderate acidity holds the entire enterprise together. Soft tannins support the satisfyingly long finish. The wine is drinking quite well right now, and will probably hang in a good spot for another five or six years.

January 9, 2024 - Started off as a whole lot of tomato leaf, some red fruits coming out after about 20 minutes, acidic earthiness. Good acidity. Wouldnt hold for the long haul. Good with red sauce pasta.

December 21, 2023 - A bit disappointed, lacked fruit and concentration. Tannins were still very harsh, acidity very high, sour cherry, a lot of tobacco, medium to short length. Was better with food. Maybe opened too early? I will wait for my two other bottles, but will not buy again

October 8, 2023 - Notes of gravel, plum, tomatoes and black pepper. Acidity is medium-plus. Tannins are medium. Body is medium-plus. Overall, its a pleasant Chianti Classico.
