April 15, 2023 - Excellent. Knock Kendall-Jackson if you will, but they make very good wine at fair prices. This is no exception. Dark color, a bit of oak and berry in the nose. On the palate, there's decent depth and quite a bit of oak; dark fruit and assertive tannins. A bit of heat on the finish, along with more oak. Dry and not too soft. Really, this tastes like more than a $20 wine. Should keep for a while, too.
