February 10, 2023 - A really lovely and interesting old wine. Each pour required significant aeration to shrug off what smelled like TCA (but obviously wasn’t) and considerable mustiness. Fully mature and likely in decline but it was greatly enjoyable nonetheless.

November 23, 2022 - 1982 Bordeaux (and friends) (Noizé, London): Much more evolved that the other two in the this flight. Something balsamic to the nose. There is something sweet that reminds me of grated white chocolate. Very stripped on the palate. Sadly flawed.

August 13, 2022 - This still had some fruit left on the front end with notes of blackberry and currants, transitioning to a lingering finish featuring cedar, leather, and graphite. This still had some tannic grip, and good acid balance. Quite lovely, and the favorite of some at the table (the other bottles were a '59 Kirwan and two old Inglenooks ('68 and '71)).

June 9, 2022 - Drink up - cigar box and forret floor. Not much fruit left

April 26, 2022 - En-Primeur campaign for the 2021 vintage; 4/25/2022-4/29/2022 (Bordeaux): From double magnum
Fruit tea over leather, sweet spice, savoury meaty notes, subdued brambles. More fleshy than juicy, savoury spice, talc textured tannins carry log. A little hard sensation on the finish. Nice though.
