December 22, 2023 - I thought the wine was a Sauvignon blanc and upon looking at its makeup I was correct. I guess it's kind of having a sauvignon blanc with a little bit of de Yquem. I think for the price that it is not something I will buy again. It was a nice sauvignon blanc, but not one worth $150. $150. I was kind of swayed by the de Yquem part of the wine, but it never came through and was not ascertainable. There were some melons and freshness in the palate. I thought there could have been some Viognier too. However, that was not the case.

October 10, 2023 - decanted for more than an hour before serving. The first sip was so alcoholic and ripe, and the wine has obviously matured further from the bottle we tasted last year. A little acetone on the nose, along with muscat grapes.

October 7, 2023 - Needs to be 10 or so degrees above refrigerator temperature. Not much to offer if it's cold, by my word, what a pleasure as it warms. Incredible richness. Tongue-tickling acidity. Enjoy with food or relish it on its own.

September 15, 2023 - Bordeaux blends Paulée with Lay & Wheeler (The George): 75% Sauvignon, 25% Semillon. This was a seriously nice surprise; I had unfairly assumed Y (which I'd never tried before) was 'all mouth and no trousers', but this delicious, charismatic wine impressed everyone who tried it. About as opulent as one can make a white Bordeaux blend and keep it dry, the effect being like a (slightly) less aromatic top-quality Condrieu. Impressively focused given the weight of fruit. It's expensive, but I'm still tempted to pick some up...

July 21, 2023 - Wow … this is indeed next level white Bordeaux wine.

Used to drinking white Pessac, but this is quite different ( imo ).

But good … extremely good !
