Community Tasting Notes 5

January 3, 2024 - Overperformer within the Jadot range. Juicy black plum, wild herbs, peppercorn. Great now, but could also age.

February 12, 2023 - Wonderful wine especially for the value. Continued to evolve in the glass with nice balance between red fruits and earthier notes.

December 25, 2022 - Yummy, this is ready. Sweet raspberry and wild strawberry with a strong liquorice influence.
Fine medium bodied palate with dusty tannins and an enjoyable peppery finish

  • Green Isaac Likes this wine: 89 points

November 7, 2022 - Berryy and slightly pouty fruit that goes in the darker, blue direction (think blackberries and dark cherries more than
    strawberry/raspberry).

The colour is also young and purple. A sweet-fruitiness paired with sweet spicy aromas from oak barrels (think vanilla cream) that make it charming on the nose.

Tannins and acid in tandem and with clear attack.
Fruit concentration is also available and provides an even balance in taste although the alcohol at the moment feels a little too prominent in the mix.

However, the impression is completely solid and the wine is a good insight for the consumer which normally opts out of "light reds" as it could be argued it has more similarities with syrah than with pinot noir. The end a certain oak barrel bitterness of type cloves or black pepper which also feels a little fiery from alcohol.

This wine may well be stored for 5-10 years, but the alcohol will possibly stand out something in the mix.
