May 28, 2022 - Napa day trip (VHR, Bevan, Lokoya) (Napa): Loved the nose on this one. Clean, pure, crisp white fruit and soft flowers. The fruit on the nose is so crisp. Flavors of clean, soft and fresh pineapple, clean minerals with a touch of softness. This was so clean and quite refreshing, not heavy at all.

First glass had a bit of oak and vanilla notes on it and if you didn't know the wine you might have assumed it was just that style of chard but quickly our host noted the wine was off and popped another bottle and it was impressive how different the second one was. Very much inspired by Chablis. Very crisp and refreshing in style. The Chard approach that I mind less than some others although it's still not my favorite grape.
