July 3, 2023 - Return to Willamette; 7/2/2023-7/8/2023 (Portland & Willamette): Bigger and more structured in style than the NYSA. This had the fruity and the woodsy. Maybe a bit more of the oak coming through. A hint dusty. Classic Pinot style.

March 28, 2023 - First taste of the Bishop Creek; definitely too young, but my wife opened it. The nose is nice if a little tight; black cherry, ripe raspberry, smoke, baking spice, violet, and mineral notes. The palate is good, though clearly has lots of upside. Definitely structured with ripe tannins, good freshness, good density. The minerality and freshness as well as the density of the fruit should start to shine more as the tannins fade. I'd try to stay away from this for 5+ years and it should drink well for 20.

Essentially no change on day 2; fresh, taut, mineral driven with lovely fruit. Time could make this into something special.

March 5, 2023 - Smoked black plums and sweet wood chips flow from nose to palate to finish. This is certainly a wine with a its intentions well telegraphed, but I see the need for another 3-5 years before this wine shows where it is going.

This can really develop off its distinctly mineral backbone reminiscent of crushed rocks in a clear stream. Though I will need to be convinced at a later date that this wine has the complexity to complement its power and potential.

January 9, 2023 - Very young but has the bones to age well. Tight, steely and austere. Looking forward to a few years on the shelf
