October 6, 2014 - Still vibrant upon opening. Tannins have mellowed with just a hint of cedar/tobacco. This is a good bottle at this point with a grilled steak. Loads of spice and dark chocolate on the nose. Some fruit remains (black raspberry?) but dissipates after 15 minutes. These two bottles have been in my cellar for almost 8 years.

January 16, 2010 - Purple, clear, reticent nose. Palate is blackberry, bramble and dusty tannins. Medium finish. Not memorable, but pleasant quaff.

July 15, 2009 - I drank this over two days and it was pretty good (especially for the price). Maybe I should have drank last year ? Don't know.
