Community Tasting Notes 2

  • DrDave88 Likes this wine:

June 29, 2022 - Floral, black fruit notes on the nose as well as some smoky herbal notes (garrigue?). Rather reminiscent of some southern rhone wines.

Fruity on the palate too, black cherry, blueberries, some strawberries getting a look in? Spice, pepper, moderate grippy tannins, moderate-low acidity. Much softer on day 2.

September 28, 2021 - Lively purple, attractive sweet-garrigue nose. The palate is filled with pent-up energy, and finishes with refreshing acidity that balances the ripe, almost jammy fruit. I'm not convinced that Cinsault can make a great wine, but this is certainly a vey good one. "L'Abeuradou: Pur cinsault de schistes." Cork, 14.5%.
