May 27, 2023 - Didn't take notes, but this is great. Give it about 30 minutes to flesh out.

Great notes of underripe peach, minerality, fresh herbs and a bite of white pepper. Creamy, fuller body and enough acidity to keep everything in balance. If I was taking proper notes, I probably would've scored this in the low 90s.

    Great with sushi.

December 24, 2022 - Good. As others have noted, this is not your typical Sauv Blanc. Overall it had great viscosity, nice intensity, and was well balanced. Enjoyed the oak presence and easy, clean finish. Drinking well now, would buy again.

August 10, 2022 - More Chardonnay than SB. Much more rounded than the typical SB, very well made and exceptionally good friendly.

April 13, 2022 - I think it is incredible what the Dragonette team does with SB!

The ability to bring out as many the nuances of the varietals they work with that express the varietal and the vineyard. This is shown tasting the vineyard specific vs. the Happy Canyon blend vs other winemaker.

    February 11, 2022 - This is a delicious SB!

Lucious & thick, tending towards a Chard.

Loved the various fruit flavors of pear & apple.

On the palate same flavors matched as well as spices and it lasts!

    Very balanced.

    December 8, 2021 - Dragonette Sauvignon Blanc Grimm’s Bluff

Light straw color, thick, slow legs

On the nose there is apple, pear, spice,

On the palate fresh apple, caramel apple, spice, butter, citrus on the end

Very balanced in its acidity and alcohol. Very low to Low tannin.

Really nice French oak aged Sauvignon Blanc. This is my first of this style. It was impressive on the tasting room, but really knocked my socks off here at home where I could really savor it and enjoy it with a meal (turkey, quinoa, and feta stuffed peppers, it was a fantastic pairing).

So glad I got a few of these. Can’t wait to try it with other pairings. Would be wonderful with preserved lemon and Moroccan spiced chicken or fish as well.

I definitely would buy this wine again and recommend it.

UPDATE 2/4/22: I made a Moroccan spiced sea bass with preserved lemon, 7 spice grains, sautéed green beans and spinach. Phenomenal pairing with this particular SB. I think it’s the “spiciness” the oak gives the bright and acidic SB.

October 6, 2021 - Almost a cross between a SB and Chardonnay due to the Oak in bottling. Expressive fruit along with some typical Chardonnay lusciousness.
