November 4, 2022 - Fresh and juicy, well developed with secondary flavors. Lots of sediment on the bottle. Dark berries and solid balance and back bone. Excellent wine.

August 31, 2022 - Degustateurs with 1955 bookends. (Oceanique Restaurant Evanston IL): Decanted for 2 hours and the color and nose were beautiful. The flavor swirls on the palate with its smoothness. Long finish. Enjoy. Drink.

November 16, 2019 - Absolutely delicious, aging gracefully since the last bottle 4 years ago. Red cherry and plum aromas and flavors with delectable sandalwood and floral notes. Tannins and acidity are in perfect balance with a long finish. Paired beautifully with tapas at Meson Sabika.

November 2, 2019 - Lots of sediment in the bottle and on the bottle side. Prominent oak, but well integrated. Well developed. Drink soon, it is not going to achieve any more in the bottle; on decline.

July 14, 2019 - Decanted for 1 hr+ and need more. Wow. Vanilla, deep bright fruit, berry extraction, continues to evolve in the glass. An infant and needs mor time (14 years old).

October 14, 2017 - As this was part of a bigger tasting of Portuguese reds, the note is shorter than usual:
on the rim a little bit brick red, smells of tabacco and forest ground, smooth in the mouth, medium body, in the mouth forest ground, blackberry and acidity, in the aftertaste forest ground and blackberry, still a little tannic in the aftertaste, very, very long finish (lasts several minutes), ready to drink now, but there is no hurry

January 9, 2016 - Dark ruby-garnet. Readily expressive nose of black currants, cinnamon, clove, violets, chocolate and blackberries. Full-bodied with ripe yet fresh fruit, soft tannins and balancing acidity. Long aftertaste. Drinking nice already but can age for another 5 years at least.

November 22, 2015 - Bouquet is still not very expressive. Full bodied wine. Still fresh and cannot tell any secondary flavors. Very ripe fruit with still notable tannins and spice. Long finish. Expect peak of maturity in 2-5 years.
