January 23, 2024 - A bright and intensely lemon focused juice. Large amounts of green and underdeveloped apple fruit and unripened kiwi fruit. The wine is built with acidity and the tannins are right there next. I imagine it is going to improve but right now this is HOT AND QUITE ACIDIC DRIVEN.

September 25, 2023 - Colour: Silver with a gold tinge
Nose: Quite subdued. Lime, lemon, fennel/herbs, maybe apple with a tinge of peach.
Palette: Lime, peach, pear, fennel, an acid backbone with an unexpected (at this age) creamy finish.

It was popped and poured at the last minute to go with a salt and pepper squid dinner and is much more developed than I expected.
As usual though, it still has oodles of time left to develop.

September 23, 2023 - Grape, Grain and Graze Festival (Olympic Park, Homebush, Sydney): Waxy, lanolin, muted stone fruit. Slight more generous on the palate, tangy, textured, kind of yum.

August 17, 2023 - Have just worked through a bottle over two days and this wine has just settled into a nice spot as a young, fresh wine. I am a great fan of the lineage but do find upon first release they can look a bit simple and plain.
This vintage however has just begun to release some lovely perfume, with citrus, pear and ripe melon notes, and just a touch of fennel, giving a lovely melange of aromas and flavours that follow along. Tight, fresh acidity is still youthful, making this a lovely aperitif style at the moment. I have no doubt it will age gracefully and blossom into something completely different, fuller coloured, richer flavoured and softer in texture, if you like aged marsanne. One of the consistently great value whites on the market, it can be enjoyed with just about any foods. Pointed up due to exceptional value for money.
