May 24, 2023 - A wine purely built for raw, unpolished pleasure. Bramble berry and red cherry confit and plenty of sweet oak notes. Coconut, chocolate and roasted coffee beans suggest Napa-esque American oak. On the palate well-balanced with fresh acidity and sandy tannin. This was not decanted and that did work, but would probably go for 1-2h at this stage. The wine is still pretty wild and will benefit from a couple of years in the cellar. Highly engineered and hence feels artificial. But at the same time, whoever claims no to enjoy this is a liar.
