Community Tasting Notes 10

May 15, 2024 - Decant, air lets the tannins soften and balance to the fruit. Alcohol dominates a touch. Not certain about value proposition of the 1er to the Brujas

March 4, 2024 - Needs a long decant - 3-4 hours minimum. Still very tannic, this is grenache made in a very light style, unlike southern rhone or priorat. Very much a burgundy drinker's grenache. A lot to like here, but this wine requires many years in the cellar to allow for the tannins to mellow.

May 25, 2023 - I agree with the note of Mag357 below. Almost one year along, his note fits my take on this wine. Maybe it needs time... but I doubt the little fruit it has will outlive the structure. Also the brett is a bit much for me. And it is much overpriced for what it is. And I paid "only" 45 euros for it locally in Spain...

April 3, 2023 - Really good. On its own it seems dialed in and precise but next to the 2018 Brena it really carries some extra fat. Ripe dark berries, musty earth and milk chocolate. Bigger than I recall other versions of this wine.

March 5, 2023 - Very pretty, sweet and elegant fruit. These wines always remind me a little bit of Rayas, just a tiny fraction of the price!
