July 2, 2023 - Lemon curd, cream, hints of pineapple. A little too sour for my liking. I feel it is lacking mouthfeel and depth. The rosé was much more enjoyable. Better than you mass produced Champagne, but I think Schramsberg sparkling is better for my palette at a similar price point. A bit of apple skin, almost an omelette mixed with butter on the nose.

June 11, 2022 - Tasted from a recently-purchased bottle with the lot identifier of "1229401058" and a DIAM cork identifier of "MA2121," this is a medium golden sparkler with a brisk, albeit large bead. Possessing a moderately intense aromatic profile of Meyer lemons, pickled ginger, cardamom and hazelnuts, it is a medium-bodied, vibrantly acidic wine with flavors mirroring the nose. Unfortunately it drops off in the middle and is a bit clipped on the back end. This is a serviceable nonvintage Champagne, but it would be a mistake to serve it to anyone with more than a casual fondness for sparkling wine. Drink now-2024.

March 23, 2022 - Retail $50. Unbeknownst to me, my wife actually bought two bottles of this wine and while the first one was OK (I guess), this second cork was, well, not. An off-putting nose that made me think of urine more than brioche with perhaps some green apple if I am being charitable. The palate is certainly better, by not by all that much. It is champagne, but it has to be near the bottom of the barrel here. I drank it, but that is not saying all that much.

March 9, 2022 - Retail $48. My wife went to Total Wine and saw this on sale for under thirty bucks. Since it was a Premier Cru, she went for it (I trained her well). Despite being sold at one of the larger retail chains in the country, there is very little information about it on line, so I have no idea about the varietal breakdown. Oh well. Medium straw in the glass with a sweet, yeasty nose of golden delicious apple, peach, and hazelnut. The palate is initially tart, and then rounds out quite a bit on the mid-palate, stopping well short of "sweet" with a nuttiness coming in on the finish.
