April 27, 2020 - Originally rated poorly by a "professional" taster, and indeed, this was wretched, early on. But in the last 5 years, this has flowered. Now rich, flamboyant black fruit. Wonderful stuff.

March 31, 2017 - Dark Volnay fruit characters and firm oak, yet gentle forest earth aroma and flavour, finishing in balance with touches of firmness from the same soil as neighbouring Pommard. Savoury, in lovely harmony but has the balance and depth to go on for another 5 years.

February 24, 2008 - beautiful nose with dark fruit flavors and plenty of oak. has a bit of spritz in the mouth. great density of raw material. i think this wine needs some time to integrate, and then it will be fabulous....
