  September 1, 2012 - Soft and approachable, initially even a tad spicy! Paired well with eggplant Parmesan, a tossed salad and peppercorn dressing, and of course the essential garlic bread. How can one quibble at $16 a bottle when accompanied by a flavorful Italian delicacy. I would call it a strong 87 based on the food fusion alone.

  September 30, 2010 - Not unlike many central Italian low level wines in that it that it had rather reserved cherry fruit with some earthy undertones and some astringency on the finish. Definitely built as a food wine (and drank accompanying spinach ravioli), but never opened up to show much, even after lots of air. Not a wine I would be in a rush to drink again, but also fit the bill I was looking for pretty well.
