July 29, 2022 - Fragrant on pouring and not deeply colored. Bright fresh pleasantly acidic fruit with a spot of ripeness mixed with a leafy aftertaste. An imperfect example of everyday Rhone and lighter than other Brusset offerings. No disagreement with previous tasting note.

June 16, 2022 - Brusset's 2020 Les Boudalles is a Grenache-dominated blend that also includes substantial aliquots of Carignan, Mourvèdre, Clairette and Syrah. Medium-to-deep ruby in color, it offers aromas and flavors of red bramble fruits, pressed flowers and Provençal herbs. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic, softly tannic, seamlessly alcoholic (13%) and without detectable wood, it drops off a bit on the mid-palate and is somewhat clipped on the finish. This is enjoyable for the price, but would best be consumed in its youth. Vinturi-decanted, this particular bottle seemed to fully open after the first hour in carafe. Drink now-2025.
