Community Tasting Notes 1

June 15, 2008 - Decanted 2hr before tasting. 80% cab 20% merlot. The color is ruby red, so not that much color at all. Nose of bright red cherry, vanilla, cassis, and a hint of cedar. On the palate the cherries faded and yielded red raspberry, vanilla bean, and a huge blast of milk chocolate. We also got a medium dose of oak on the palate as well. The tannins have either resolved to extreme smooth already or it never really had a tight backend because it is silky smooth finish at this time. The finish lasted for more than a minute. We were extreme impressed with this bottle.
