It took a while to open up. I feel like this needs 3-5 years. When it was open it displayed beautiful pure fruit, dark pepper, and the Andremily finesse I have found in all their wines I have tried. More complex than their other wines I felt, as well a darker profile. Amazing wine, just needs a few years to mellow out.2 people found this helpful Comment -

September 10, 2023 - Ready now with a 20-30 minutes of air. We let it open in the glass. Upon opening a strong nose of vanilla and popcorn from the oak. This faded and left behind black cherries, plum, ripe black fruits. Full bodied, medium-long finish. Smooth tannins and great balance. Great wine.

March 6, 2023 - The remains consumed three days later, and it is markedly improved. The rough edges have softened and the balance is in perfect harmony tonight. Blueberry is prominent with other dark berries in support. Leave it be for a few years and you will be rewarded. 95++.

March 3, 2023 - Opened after a’17 EABA, and this paled in comparison. While the EABA was hitting on all cylinders, this was quality, but seemed a step behind in every way to the EABA. Inky dark, but seeming hollow in the palate. The nose is right there with the EABA, but the palate needs time. Give it a few years.

January 7, 2023 - At first sniff - still in the bottle - raspberry pancake syrup. At first taste, boysenberry. Freshly crushed stones on the long finish; suprisingly refreshing in this regard. Savory meat, in particular game like duck or venison. Sweet spices; salty herbs. Wheated Bourbon. Imbibed over two days. Day one with sous vide, cast iron finished teres major (Montreal seasoning) and sautéed apple cider vinegar kale; day two with Peking duck and other Chinese dishes. Outstanding wine, especially with the plum sauce. I like it more than the EABA, and equal to or less than the Grenache. Not too sweet, which is my recollection of the EABA on a relative basis. Buy, buy, buy!
