April 27, 2016 - I think it's over the hill. Just tasted again...it's not enjoyable. I bet it was great 5 years ago.

November 19, 2011 - Lilacs and cherries on the nose. Surprised by the cherry liqeur flavors that integrated well with the dusty tannins. I think this is about as good as this wine will get. It was a pleasure to drink.

October 21, 2007 - Where the 2002 La Gibryotte Bourgogne seduced with its purity of red fruit and lightness of touch; the 2005 delivers a punch with concentrated red and black fruit, a mineral streak, palate cleansing acidity and fine grained tannin. Oak is evident without over-shadowing the fruit, providing structure and delivering an edgy spice to the medium-length finish. Punching outside its weight class. A Bourgogne to cellar and rated excellent; potentially outstanding with time.
