February 10, 2019 - Almost settled for a '14 that's drinking early, but still seemed young on the pop, so Coravined and ended up popping this '05 for the pre-meal turned meal paring. Drinking great right now.

Dense coloring with ruby edges. Aromas of fresh and dried dark red fruits, maybe a little blueberry too. Medium body, acid, and finish, with black cherry and dusty cedar, dry leaves, and orange peel showing. Nicely aged and enjoyable comparison to the more modern '14 of the same night.

April 16, 2016 - Needs about an hour decant, so still a lot of life left. As others have noted, BDX in a modern style. I liked very much.

April 9, 2016 - Opened up after a three hour decant. Fine Bordeaux nose with tannic finish.

March 29, 2015 - Better than expected. Good QPR @ $25 US. Nose of cedar, black/blue fruits, some dust. Medium bodied, lighter than previous notes below would indicate. Moderate acidity, strong tannins, so a touch modern. Mainly black fruits, light mature earth notes. A bit simple but certainly a good daily drinker. Has 5+ years left easy.
