April 10, 2011 - Decanted briefly before dinner. Good weight and texture tart cherry flavor. Ellen thought it too tart.

January 5, 2011 - Decanted immediately before dinner. Has continued to improve. Balanced with good aromatics and fruit.

March 8, 2009 - Decanted for 1 hour before having Ellen's Scampi. Drank beautifully with good bouquet, tart cherry flavor, and nice finish.
At peak now. Didn't hold up the next night.

October 4, 2005 - Figured I'd start working through my 00 Lemelsons. Bought this wine on a visit to the winery 4 years ago and it's been resting since. When I initially opened it, I thought the wine was pretty bland in the nose; fortunately, it needed just air to come around. As it evolved in the glass, the wine then showed a lot of new oak aromatics, which then lead after about 2 hours to a more balanced aromatic profile of mocha, dried cherry and red fruits. The palate, much like the nose, shos a juicy profile, akin to what reminds me of RRV fruit. The texture is creamy, with some nice integrated acidity, cola and red fruits. For a bottle less than 30 bucks (think about 25 at the time I bought it), very pleased with this one. Still have the Stermer, Reed and Reynolds and Jerome to get through. Onward!
