    October 9, 2007 - Learning about Bordeaux with the Astorettes; 10/8/2007-10/10/2008 (Cafe Loup): This had a damaged cork and high shoulder fill. The nose was decidely musty with an earthy, beet-rooty core. Lovely bottle sweetness up front that competes with the earthy, musty midpalate. there is some purple pudding sweet fruit lurking deep down across the palate but this bottle ultimately ends up being short and shallow though with an appealing licorice tinged finish.
