November 19, 2023 - Barolo and Truffle dinner (Flat 9): Interesting wine: relatively full-bodied, good structure and definition, but so fruit-forward that it - a 2016 riserva! - could happily be approached already. Hedonistic without being unserious, and really fun to drink.

February 14, 2022 - A detailed note will come as soon as I'll taste the 2016 again in a tranquil moment. To me, it's easily the best version of the Fico that Sergio has crafted since the first vintage, 2008. It's loaded with young complex layers, a tart fragrant berry fruit and a gathering of alluring ethereal, balsamic & earthy-floral nuances. Ever-changing in the glass, it needs a lot of time and patience. This is a simply mesmerizing, towering Barolo with so much character and personality. More time in bottle will make it shine so much more, undoubtedly. Patience.

November 25, 2021 - Tasted at the winery- this lived up to it's burgeoning reputation. A classic barolo with excellent structure but soft approachable tannins. The depth of flavour was quite tightly coiled but opened with air and shows great promise for the future. Plenty of varied aromatic notes and barolo typicity. This can be drunk young but I suspect it will be phenomenal in another 10 years or so.
